Everyone struggles with taking responsibility for there wrong doing.. Scapegoat is about a believer who struggles with that very issue. Rather than taking fault for doing evil deeds, they would rather blame it all on the devil or demons. the truth is that in most cases we have control to not give into temptation.. When a person lives in this "The devil made me do it." state they tend to take a very destructive path in life.. this song was written as a testimony of once living in that.
